Meet Your Provider

With 20 years of healthcare experience, Amana Hopkins brings a deeply compassionate, whole-person approach to patient care. She began her career over two decades ago as a pediatric care assistant and went on to spend six years as a pediatric nurse and charge nurse before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2014. Since then, she has cared for patients of all ages across a wide range of settings—always with the same goal: helping people feel and live better.

Her passion lies in understanding and treating the root causes of symptoms. She is especially drawn to gut health and hormone balance because she has seen how profoundly they influence energy, mood, metabolism, inflammation, and overall quality of life. Her patients appreciate her ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, empowering way while creating plans that are realistic, doable, and aligned with their everyday lives.

Her Approach to Care

She chose functional and integrative medicine because traditional care often treats people in pieces. Instead, she believes in looking at the entire picture—gut health, hormones, lifestyle, stress, nutrition, and daily habits—so that healing can be meaningful and long-lasting.

Her care philosophy is built on listening first. She takes time to understand each patient’s story, goals, and lived experience, and then connects symptoms to deeper drivers. The result: personalized plans that actually move the needle and help people feel genuinely better.

Her approach has been shaped by her own health journey. After facing personal health challenges, functional medicine was the first path that helped her truly understand what her body needed and why she felt the way she did. That experience transformed how she practices today—fueling her commitment to helping patients feel seen, validated, and supported every step of the way.

  • Your body is uniquely yours. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, and what worked for someone else may not be what your body needs. You deserve individualized care, a personalized plan, and someone who listens closely enough to uncover what’s actually going on beneath the surface.

  • Outside of work, she’s been married to her husband for 16 years, and together they love exploring every new restaurant, coffee shop, and movie they can find. She also recharges by reading, crafting, baking, and spending quality time with friends—anything that brings joy, creativity, and connection into her life.

She cares for her own health using the same principles she teaches her patients: nourishing meals, consistent movement, prioritizing sleep, stress-supporting habits, and making room for hobbies and relationships that fill her cup.

  • She prioritizes her own wellness by practicing the same principles she encourages in her patients—nourishing her body with nutrient-dense meals, maintaining a consistent movement routine, supporting stress resilience, and protecting her sleep. She also makes intentional time for creativity and meaningful relationships, knowing that joy, connection, and rest are just as essential to overall well-being as any physical habit.

  • Patients can expect a provider who listens deeply, explains thoroughly, and focuses on the whole picture—not just the symptoms. She is collaborative and thoughtful, taking time to understand the “why” behind how people feel so she can create a clear, personalized plan that leads to sustainable change.

Above all, she hopes her patients walk away feeling understood, encouraged, and genuinely supported—knowing they have someone in their corner who is committed to helping them feel their best.
